GOVERNMENT TO BUILD A MINI HOSPITAL IN NAMBWAE IN NALOLO WEST BANK 

Government with support from the World Bank (WB) will this year start building a mini hospital in Nambwae area in Nalolo West Bank to enhance delivery of quality health care services to the people.

And Nalolo District Director of Health, Dr Douglas Singini has highlighted the positive impact of the enhanced Constituency Development Fund (CDF) in the health sector in Nalolo.

Speaking during the Nalolo Town Council (NTC) sponsored radio programme on Oblate Radio Station dubbed: Nalolo CDF-Hour Radio on Friday night, Dr Singini said the site for the mini hospital has already been secured and work is expected to commence soon.

He notes that Nambwae is a central place and the new health facility will reduce on the distance people cover to access medical care from Sinungu and Mapungu Rural Health Centres as well as Senanga District Hospital.

And Dr Singini said CDF has helped improve the delivery of quality health services to the people of Nalolo District through the procurement of an ambulance, construction of maternity annexes, provision of clean and safe drinking water and building of new clinics.

He has also thanked the Council for procuring essential medical equipment using CDF meant for Muoyo and Nasilimwe maternity annexes as well as Lyande Health Post.

Dr Singini said the health sector in Nalolo still faces a number of challenges and called on community members to submit projects relating to health through the Ward Development Committess (WDC’s) which can be funded using CDF.
